Last year we made our first visit to Loughgall for the BHPNI Show & Shine at the Festival of Speed and we enjoyed it so much that we decided to return for a second year.
Unlike the previous year however the weather was not in our favour as it rained from early AM right through until around an hour before the show closed but that wasn’t enough to dampen spirits.
Having taken cover for most of the day in BHPNI’s gazebo – thanks guys – we took a venture around the show to see what was on offer. The beauty of BHPNI teaming up with the Armagh Lions for the Festival of Speed is that both clubs attract very different audiences which provides a wide range of vehicles – from the usual stanced cars we are used to seeing, to classics, race prepped and even single seaters – there was something for everyone.
One of my favourite aspects of the Festival of Speed however is the hill climb. As usual Momentum Motorsport were representing hard with their rapid GTR and time attack Evo, while the sounds of MK2 Escorts & Subarus boosting around the forest park added to the rally atmosphere.
Despite the bad weather it was once again a great day out, topped off when we picked up the award for Best Club Stand, so a big thank you to everyone who represented Fitted State and to the BHPNI team.
