A relaxed atmosphere, burgers on the BBQ and some quality cars of all marques. What more could you ask for? An umbrella??
Harmony Hill Car Show, returning for it’s 8th year, has the reputation for being a laidback, relaxed show (the organiser is called Weed afterall) where car enthusiasts can gather to show off their machinery, chat to like minded people and enjoy a good burger from the BBQ. Unfortunately it seems that in previous years the weather has had other plans as once again the sun was disrupted by heavy downpours which had people running for their nearest gazebo.
We sponsored this years event and had a trophy for ‘Best Wheels’ up for grabs. This went to Peter Matthews and his beautiful Audi S4 for his custom built BBS RS’s that sport a 16″ centre with 2″ step up dishes and half height centre caps.
Our photographer Aaron Hegarty unveiled the new look for his A3 S-Line with a full Airlift suspension setup from our friends at Design RMC. This was combined with a custom strut brace with mounts for a 5 gallon air tank and Sabelt harnesses for the newly acquired Corbeau bucket seats. The car now looks fantastic and it seems others agree as he came home with the ‘Best Air’ trophy.
Speaking of trophies, we were shocked but very pleased to come home with the award for ‘Best Club Stand’. Our newly acquired and ridiculously big flags marked our stand that featured Gavin’s Passat, Clark Richard Nelly & Owen’s Golfs, Alan’s S3, Sam’s EOS and Poppy’s Lupo.
A huge thank you to all the organisers, Harmony Hill Primary School and to everyone who attended and help raise money for Autism NI.
