Over £8,000 raised and lots of banter at Belfast Car Scene's annual charity run.
Every year the guys and girls at Belfast Car Scene host Cruise for Cancer, a charity drive from Carrickfergus to Portrush via the scenic Causeway Coastal Route. This year the chosen charity was McMillan Cancer Care so we packed our cameras, met with with a bunch of friends and went to do our part.
There was a strange warm yellow ball in the sky as we approached Carrick where we were met by over 700 cars. Deciding that we didn’t want to be stuck in nose to tail traffic for the next two hours we took the direct route up the motorway so that we could be in Portrush for the start of the convoy arriving.
It was great to see so many people supporting the cause and helping to put the car scene in a positive light for once. Well done to BCS for organising the event and for raising a huge amount of money.
