Yesterday we visited Car Culture Live for what we were promised to be the largest multi discipline motoring exhibition in Ireland.
Leaving from Belfast we met up with our friends from Paintworx to convoy up to the former Shackleton RAF barracks in Ballykelly.
Our day got off to a rough start with one of the Paintworx cars suffering engine problems, my own tyre refusing to sit on the bead and a stop for a friendly chat with our friends at the PSNI. Despite our woes we battled on and finally made it to the airfield just before lunch time.
The event, laid out in an X pattern, hosted a 1/4 mile drag strip, drift sessions, trade stands and a show and shine event with over 100 trophies up for grabs.
The weatherman had forecasted heavy rain throughout the day but this didn’t deter the crowds. Thankfully, despite a few light showers, the rain stayed off for most of the day however we were greeted with a storm halfway through the prize giving which caused quite a bit of disruption.
There were a wide range of cars on styles on display with the track inspired guys coming out to play with stance guys. Unfortunately due to arriving late and the showers interrupting us, we weren’t able to get as many photos as we liked but we hope you enjoy what we were able to get.
